Application windows for prior admission open in March for fall admissions and October for spring admissions. If a potential student misses the application deadline, they may still apply to the program but we cannot guarantee placement in the upcoming semester.
Admission to the BAAS ECET program is contingent upon several requirements including: admission to Weatherford College (if not already a student), submission of all application materials (application, transcripts, and references), minimum 2.75 GPA, 60 earned credit hours, TSI compliance, completion of prerequisite courses (BIOL 1408, EDUC 1301, EDUC 2301, GEOL 1403, MATH 1350, MATH 1351, and PHYS 1415), as well as a successful program interview.
New cohorts are added every fall and spring semester.
BAAS ECET designated classes will be delivered per the course schedule in a hybrid format combining online coursework via Canvas with synchronous face to face and Zoom meetings held on select dates each semester. Attendance in face-to-face and Zoom sessions is a program requirement. This format blends the convenience of online learning with the benefits of real-time interaction with the instructor and fellow students. Other required classes may be offered in another format depending on the subject matter and instructor.
Public school paraprofessional serving in a Pre-6th grade setting may complete the entirety of the course online and are therefore excused from in-person attendance. Exceptions may be made for presentations and group projects.
