Overview
Piano Performance Certificate Program aims to train advanced pianists in concert repertoire, technique, and artistic presentation that will prepare them for the professional concert stage, auditions, and major piano competitions.
Program Outcomes
Students will be able to perform major works for solo piano and collaborative performances with string ensembles. Students will be able to pass a final recital of a major before a jury. Students will have passed with a grade of at least 90 about composers of major works of music they are performing. Students will pass with a grade of 90 in a course in the music business, which prepares them to understand contracts for performances, recordings, and other contractual agreements required for performing. Students successfully completing the program will be prepared for professional piano performances for concerts, auditions, and competitions.

Weatherford College is a proud all-Steinway Institution and expected to become one of the first Spirio Schools in the nation. WC piano students will practice, rehearse, and perform on new, beautiful Steinway pianos.

Scholarship & Audition
Weatherford College Piano Scholarship may cover tuition, room & board, meals, and textbooks based on talent and musical ability as demonstrated by your audition.
Admission to the piano program is based on:
- An audition consisting of a performance of two pieces from contrasting periods (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionist, or Twentieth-Century)
- Academic records
- Interview
