WC Summer Stage presents Shakespeare’s “As You Like It”
Weatherford College Summer Stage is proud to present William Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” from June 13 to 16 at the Alkek Fine Arts Center.
Showtime is 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.
“As You Like It” follows Rosalind, a spirited young woman banished to the countryside with her faithful cousin Celia. Disguised as a boy, Rosalind encounters a captivating world of shepherds, shepherdesses and hidden identities. Meanwhile, her banished love, Orlando, seeks refuge in the same forest, unaware of the playful deception unfolding around him.
Filled with witty wordplay, mistaken identities, and blossoming romances, “As You Like It” is a delightful exploration of love, loss and the transformative power of nature.
