WC honored as “Most Promising Place to Work”
Weatherford College has been named a "Most Promising Place to Work in Community Colleges" for 2025 by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development and Diverse: Issues in Higher Education.
NISOD and Diverse recognized WC for its strong student and staff recruitment, commitment to retention, inclusive environment and active engagement with the community.
"This recognition is truly an honor," said WC President Tod Allen Farmer. "It highlights our ongoing commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace. We believe in valuing and respecting every member of our college community."
The college will be recognized at NISOD’s annual International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence in Austin on Monday, May 26, before the Opening General Session. NISOD is a consortium of community and technical colleges that share a commitment to supporting and promoting excellence in teaching, learning and leadership.
In addition to the conference recognition, WC will be featured in the May edition of Diverse.
